The word 'piphano' means : give light, shine, be manifested or appear.
The epiphany means manifestation of God to mankind.
The birth of Jesus manifests God to all people.
The season of Epiphany lasts for seven weeks, during which we read and celebrate the ways in which Christ manifested Himself to humankind and demonstrated His divine nature.
