God is in control

Dear Members and Friends of St. Peter's Anglican Church,

The peace of the Lord be always with you.

Who is in control of your life?

The Gospel reading of Mark 4: 26-29 says:

The Parable of the Growing Seed:

26" He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like.

A man scatters seed on the ground.

27 Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows,

though he does not know how. 28 All by itself the soil produces grain—

first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head.

29 As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it,

because the harvest has come.”

In the parable of the growing seed God is in control of the growth of the seed

from planting to harvest.

God is in control of our lives from the beginning to the end.

Therefore we should not fear or worry about our future as it is in God's hands.

Jesus says:

31" So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?

’ or ‘What shall we wear?’

32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father

knows that you need them.

33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things

will be given to you as well." (Mathew 6:31-34).

May God bless you with your families and friends and protect you in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Fr. James.
