Dear members and friends of St. Peter's Anglican Church,
The peace of the Lord be always with you.
"PRAISE THE LORD!"
Why should you always praise the Lord?
We all have our own reasons why we should praise the Lord.
What does the Bible say?
We read in Psalm 139:14, "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
Have you ever looked at yourself on a mirror and thanked God because you are so fearfully and wonderfully made.
Do you know that there is no other person like you in the whole creation?
God created you in such a wonderful way and you are the only creature that was created in the image and likeness of God.
Genesis 1:26-27 says: "Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."
We were created in the image and likeness of God the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Everyday we are being transformed from one degree of glory to another to be like Jesus the Son of God.
1 John 3:2-3 we read: "Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has
not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is."
John further says: "All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure:" ( 1John 3:3).
May God help us to purify ourselves in repentance and confession of our sins to God and to one another as we await the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
May God be with you and protect you with your families and friends by the precious blood of Jesus.
