Dear members and friends of St. Peter's Anglican Church,

The peace of the Lord be always with you.

THE POWER OF PRAYER

In Luke 3:21-22 We read: "When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: 'You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.'”

What happened when Jesus prayed at his baptism? When Jesus prayed at His baptism great miracles happened:

1. Heaven was opened.

2. The Holy Spirit descended on him in a bodily form like a dove.

3. A voice came from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased." The Holy Trinity manifested Jesus as the Son of God.

God tells us to pray and He will do great things for us.

God says  "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which you do not know." ( Jeremiah 33:3)..

May God help us to pray without ceasing .( 1Thessalonians 5:17).

May God bless you with your families and friends and protect you by the precious blood of Jesus.

Fr. James Kibe Karanja.
