Dear Members and friends of St. Peter's Anglican Church,

The peace of the Lord be always with you.

YOU ARE THE CLAY, GOD IS THE POTTER.

What does God say to you?

" “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand. "

( Jeremiah 18:6 b).

The potter shapes the clay into the shape that seems best to him. God shaped you in the shape that seemed best to him. Therefore never let anyone despise you. You are God's workmanship.

In Ephesians 2:10 we read:

For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus

to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

May God bless you with your family and friends and protect you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Dear members and friends of St. Peter's Anglican Church,

The peace of the Lord be always with you.

GOD WILL NEVER FORSAKE YOU.

Have you ever felt forsaken by God?  Though there are challenging times times in life when God's people feel as if God had forsaken them God has promised and said:

"God has said,

“Never will I leave you;

never will I forsake you."

(Hebrews 13:5).

This promise was given by God to the Children of Israel through Moses in Deuteronomy 31:6.

6" Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or

terrified because of them, for the Lord your God

goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

In Joshua 1:5 God said the same to Joshua as He says to you today:

5" No one will be able to stand against you all the days

of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you;

I will never leave you nor forsake you."

Therefore no matter what you are going through never worry or fear but trust in God for He has promised that He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Jesus says :

18 Then Jesus came to them and said,

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing

them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

(Mathew 28:18-20).

May God bless you with your families and friends and protect you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Dear members and friends of St. Peter's Anglican Church,

"THE SIGNS OF THE TIME."

In Luke 12 54-56 we read:

Interpreting the Times:

54 "He said to the crowd: “When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, ‘It’s going to rain,’ and it does. 55 And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It’s going to be hot,’ and it is. 56 Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time?"

Once the disciples of Jesus asked him about the signs of the end of the age.

1.Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.” 3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” 4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

14.In the midst of this discourse Jesus said in Matthew 24:14

: ―"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come" What signs do you see today that point to the second coming of Jesus?

Mathew 24:15 says:

15 “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation, ’[a] spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand:"

God has been speaking to us through many signs such as COVID 19, wars, wild fires , floods ,mass shooting and even moral decay in the whole world. God's people are warned to understand that these signs call upon us to repent and preach the gospel of salvation as we prepare for the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Dear members and friends of St. Peter's Anglican Church,

The peace of the Lord be always with you.

GOD CLEANSES ALL SIN.

In Isaiah 1:18-20 we read:

8 “Come now, let us settle the matter,”

says the Lord.

“Though your sins are like scarlet,

they shall be as white as snow;

though they are red as crimson,

they shall be like wool.

19 If you are willing and obedient,

you will eat the good things of the land;

20 but if you resist and rebel,

you will be devoured by the sword.”

For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

The name Isaiah means " Salvation."

No matter what sort of sins you have committed,

God will forgive you if you are willing to repent and obey Him.

Obedience brings God's blessings.

1John 1:8-9 says:

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves,

and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and

just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

May God bless you and protect you with your families and friends in the

name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Dear Members and friends of St. Peter's Anglican Church,

The peace of the Lord be always with you.

PUT GOD FIRST.

In Luke 12:19-21 we read:

19 " And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years.  Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’  20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool!  This very night your life will be demanded from you.  Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’  21 “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”

Is there anything wrong in getting rich and enjoying yourself?  What was the problem with the rich fool.  The rich fool was rich for himself but not rich toward God.

Jesus says: "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (Mathew 6:33).

May God bless you with your families and friends and protect you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

THE POWER OF PRAYER.

In 2 Chronicles 7:14 we read:

14. If my people, who are called by my name, will

humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn

from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and

I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

When God's people repent of their sins and pray God in his mercy and grace forgives them and heals their land.  Why has Covid -19 Continued and so many shootings and fires are consuming people?

1 Timothy 2:1-4 says:

" I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving

be made for all people—

2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives

in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior,

4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."

May God help us to repent and pray.

GOD'S PROMISES.

Do you remember any of God's promises to his People?

In Genesis 18:10 God made a promise to Abraham and said:

" I will surely return to you about this time next year,

and Sarah your wife will have a son."

God fulfilled his promise to Abraham and gave him a son

" For Sarah conceived, and bore Abraham a son in his old age

at the set time of which God had spoken to him." (Genesis 21:2).

Our God is faithful to his promises.

Whatever He has promised His people in the Bible He will do it.

" Great is His faithfulness." ( Lamentations 3:23).

Jesus says : " If you shall ask anything in my name , I will do it." ( John 14:14).

May God bless you and protect you with your families and friends in

the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Dear Members and Friends of St. Peter's Anglican Church,

The peace of the Lord be always with you.

Obeying god brings blessings and protection.

Read through the Bible and see whether there are

things God has asked you to do and you have not done .

In Deuteronomy 30: 8-9 Moses said to the Children of Israel:

"8" You will again obey the Lord and follow all his commands

I am giving you today.

9 Then the Lord your God will make you most prosperous

in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb,

the young of your livestock and the crops of your land.

The Lord will again delight in you and make you prosperous,

just as he delighted in your ancestors,"

Obedience brings peace and prosperity in the family and in the land.

Jesus' mother said at a wedding in Cana of Galilee:

" His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” (John 2:5).

If we obey God, the gates of heaven will be opened and great miracles will happen here on earth.

May God bless you and protect you with your families and friends.

Dear Members and Friends of St. Peter's Anglican Church,

The peace of the Lord be always with you.

OBEDIENCE BRINGS BLESSINGS AND HEALING.

When people obey what God tells them to do God blesses them and heals them as well as their land.

In 2 Kings 5:1-14 , we read that when Na'-a-man obeyed the word of the Lord from Elisha he got healed and his body became like that of a little child.

" He went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy." ( 2KIngs 5:14).

Is there something God has been telling you to do and you have not yet done it? In the midst of several crisis in the world today, what has God been telling us to do?

Read 2 Chronicles 7:14.

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

I wish you all a blessed and Happy 4Th of July .

May God bless you and protect you with your families and friends in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Dear members and friends of St. Peter's Anglican Church,

The peace of the Lord be always with you.

 ''FREEDOM IN CHRIST"

In Galatians 5:1 we read: "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free."

What kind of freedom are Christians expected to have?

Galatians 5:13-14 says: 13" You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh[a]; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: Love your neighbor as yourself."

God wants us to have freedom of loving one another. Love saves and protects.

Jesus says: "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”(Luke 19:10).

May God bless you with your families and friends and protect you

in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

 Fr. James.
